Foreland Point (4 miles from Lynmouth)
Trekking west from Lynmouth, the trail gradually ascends to Foreland Point, the most northerly point along the Somerset and Devon coast. Here, the path offers spectacular views of the Bristol Channel and, on a clear day, the Welsh coast. The lighthouse perched on the cliff edge is a sight to behold.
Facilities: None at Foreland Point – ensure you're well-stocked with supplies.
County Gate (6.5 miles from Lynmouth)
Continuing onwards, the path descends into the wooded valleys of Glenthorne and Kipscombe before rising again to the County Gate, where the counties of Devon and Somerset meet. At this point, the trail offers a fantastic vantage point over the rugged coastline.
Facilities: A car park and picnic area are available at County Gate, but no other facilities.
Holdstone Down (10 miles from Lynmouth)
From County Gate, the path takes you through the remote and rugged landscape of Holdstone Down, renowned for its rich variety of flora and fauna. This is a great spot for wildlife and nature enthusiasts. The views from the top are stunning, offering a panoramic vista of the surrounding landscape.

Combe Martin (13.5 miles from Lynmouth)
