This is a truly stunning section of the South West Coast Path that offers walkers the chance to experience the wild beauty of the Cornwall coast. This walk commences at the lovely harbour town of Porthleven and takes you on an unforgettable journey to The Lizard, the most southerly point of mainland Britain.

Your journey begins at the historic port town of Porthleven, known for its charming harbour and stunning surroundings. To find the start of the coastal path, head towards the harbour and look for the signs leading you out towards the coast.
Milestone: Rinsey Head (3.3 miles from Porthleven)
Leaving Porthleven, you'll soon find yourself immersed in the rugged beauty of the Cornish coast. After a few miles of walking, you'll reach Rinsey Head, a prominent headland that offers panoramic views of the coastline. Be sure to take a moment to enjoy the scenery before pushing on.
Facilities: There are no facilities at Rinsey Head, so ensure you have sufficient supplies.
Milestone: Praa Sands (5.6 miles from Porthleven)
Continuing along the path from Rinsey Head, you'll soon reach the sandy beach at Praa Sands. This is a popular spot for surfers, so you might catch a few riding the waves. There are also a couple of cafes here, so it's an excellent spot for a mid-walk break.
Facilities: Public toilets and cafes are available at Praa Sands.
Milestone: Prussia Cove (7 miles from Porthleven)
From Praa Sands, you'll head towards Prussia Cove, a secluded area known for its smuggling history. Enjoy the secluded beaches and the scenic views before you press on to the next milestone.
Facilities: None at Prussia Cove, so carry everything you need.
Milestone: Marazion (9.5 miles from Porthleven)
Leaving Prussia Cove, the path will take you towards the town of Marazion. This is a great place to rest and refuel, with several cafes and pubs, as well as public toilets. Also, don't miss the chance to admire the views of St Michael's Mount, a small tidal island with a castle.

Final Stretch: Kynance Cove and Arrival at The Lizard (13.8 miles)
The final leg of your journey will take you through some of the most breathtaking landscapes along the South West Coast Path. You'll pass the stunning Kynance Cove, with its turquoise waters and white sandy beaches, before finally reaching The Lizard. Once at The Lizard, reward yourself with a visit to the local pub or cafe, and don't forget to explore the lighthouse!
